ANKARA, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Ankara's Public Prosecutor issued a detention warrant on Tuesday for 85 former govern ment staff members related to the foiled July 2016 attempted coup.
About 60 staff members are from the Energy Ministry and related institutions, whereas the other 25 are from the Education Ministry, reported the state-run Anadolu Agency.
Almost 40 of the wanted suspects have so far been detained and transferred to police headquarters.
The suspects are charged for allegedly using ByLock, an encrypted messaging application the Gulenist Terror Group and his followers are suspected of using to communicate together.
This detention warrant is part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged Gulenist Terror Group, which the Turkish government accuses of perpetrating the failed July 2016 coup.
