OUAGADOUGOU, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Burkina Faso's national gendarmerie on Thursday alerted on massive mail account hacking on social networks in the country.
Over social networks, it has called on social network users for great prudence and a quick change of pass words as there is a wide range of threat on mail accounts.
"We strongly recommend that, as soon as possible, you change your pass word on social networks due to several hacking threats and actions on mail accounts," the gendarmerie disclosed in a release on Thursday.
However, the security and defense forces provided no further details about the scale of the threat in Burkina Faso.
The West African country has been amidst full expansion of social networks over the past few years.
