BERLIN, May 9 (Xinhua) -- German exports reached a record high in March, the Federal Statistical Office reported on Tuesday.
After calendar and seasonal adjustment, exports totaled 105.4 billion euros (114 billion U.S. dollars), up 0.4 percent compared with February, while imports rose by 2.4 percent to 85.8 billion euros.
The foreign trade balance recorded a surplus of 19.6 billion euros.
German exports surged 10.8 percent and imports jumped 14.7 percent in March year-on-year. Both exports and imports reached record heights.
European Union (EU) remains the largest importer of "Made in Germany" goods in the reported month.
