ISLAMABAD, April 25 (Xinhua) -- At least five people were killed and 11 others injured when a passenger van hit a landmine in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Kurram Agency on Tuesday, local Urdu media reported.
Dunya News said that the van was on its way to Soda from Godar village when it ran on the landmine.
Kurram Agency is one of the country's seven semi-autonomous tribal areas located along the Afghanistan border.
The bodies and injured people have been shifted to a nearby hospital, where the doctors said that the killed included a woman while three among the wounded were in critical condition.
Security forces have cordoned off the area for investigations.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
