BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- A 6.9-magnitude earthquake jolted areas near the coast in central Chile at 5:38 a.m. Tuesday, according to the measurement of the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 33.03 degrees south latitude and 71.88 degrees west longitude. The quake struck at a depth of about 10 km.
