NEW YORK, April 24 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale jolted 38km W of Valparaiso, Chile at 21:38:25 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 33.0557 degrees south latitude and 72.0422 degrees west longitude.
