SEOUL, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Visiting U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said here on Monday that an era of strategic patience is over on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s nuclear issue.

Pence made the remarks during a joint press conference with South Korean Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn who is serving as acting president.

The U.S. vice president said "all options are on the table" to resolve the DPRK's nuclear issue though the U.S. wants peaceful ways for the denuclearized Korean Peninsula.

He arrived in South Korea on Sunday as part of his 10-day trip to Asia. On Tuesday, Pence will leave for Japan.
