TAIPEI, April 14 (Xinhua) -- A 5.7-magnitude earthquake hit the sea area off the northeast of Taiwan at about 3:41 am. Friday Beijing Time, according to Taiwan meteorological authority.
It also said the epicenter was at a depth of about 177 km, monitored at 25.16 degrees north latitude and 122.33 degrees east longitude.
No casualties have been reported yet.
