BRUSSELS, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Eurozone industrial production fell in February, after rebounding in the previous month, according to data from Eurostat on Tuesday.
Seasonally adjusted industrial production fell by 0.3 percent in the 19-country eurozone and by 0.2 percent in the 28-member European Union (EU) in February month-on-month, data showed.
This came after industrial production in January registered a 0.3 percent monthly increase in both the eurozone and the EU.
Eurostat said the decrease in eurozone's February industrial production was due to production of energy falling by 4.7 percent and non-durable consumer goods by 1.1 percent.
Among EU member states, the largest monthly decreases in industrial production were registered in Ireland, down by 15.5 percent, France, down by 1.6 percent and Croatia, down by 1.5 percent.
The highest increases were recorded in Bulgaria and Slovenia, both increasing by 3.6 percent, followed by Hungary and Latvia, up 3.4 percent and 3.2 percent respectively.
