RABAT, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's FUS Rabat were eliminated from CAF Champions League despite winning 3-1 against Libyan Al Ahli Tripoli here on Saturday.
Rabat's team had suffered a 2-0 defeat in Tunis in the first leg.
At Stade Moulay Hassan, the Moroccan team started the must-win encounter brightly in the first half and scored twice through Ibrahim Bahri at the 16th and 25th minutes.
In the second half, Al Ahli Tripoli surprised the hosting team with a precious goal at the 48th. FUS Rabat pressed hard for other goals, but was only able to score one at the last minute of the additional time (90+5th).
Earlier Saturday, the other Moroccan team Wydad Casablanca progressed to the stage group by beating Gabonese CF Mounana on penalties 5-4 after each team won 1-0 at its stadium.
