TOKYO, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares edged down Tuesday morning following weak U.S. stocks overnight as market awaits outcome of a key meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) on planned reduction of oil output.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 34.31 points, or 0.19 percent, from Monday to 18,322.58.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 0.19 point, or 0.01 percent, to 1,469.39.
Decliners were led by insurance, glass, ceramic, and iron and steel product issues.
