BEIJING, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Two documents approved at a meeting of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee provide institutional guarantees for Party governance, according to senior CPC officials.

The two documents, including the norms of political life within the Party under the new situation and a regulation on intra-Party supervision, were endorsed at the sixth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, running from Monday to Thursday.

Explaining the "norms", Qi Yu, deputy head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, said at a Friday news conference that the document addresses the need to deal with problems within the Party.

Rules must be made and improved to prevent problems from coming into being or spreading, said Qi.

According to Qi, the document explains problems and challenges within the Party, as well as the importance and the aims of strengthening and regulating political life within the Party.

With regard to the "regulation", Wu Yuliang, deputy chief of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, said it was drafted in accordance with the Party Constitution and based on past experience.

The regulation stresses Party's leadership and targets real problems, said Wu, adding it underlines that no prohibited zone or exception will be allowed in intra-Party supervision.

The document calls for better supervision between higher- and lower-level organizations and among organizations of the same level.

It also regulates relations between intra-Party supervision and other approaches of supervision, Wu added.
