HOUSTON, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Five teenagers were arrested on Wednesday for involvement in making bomb threats earlier this week that forced the evacuation of two schools in Hot Springs, a city in the U.S. state of Arkansas.

The Hot Springs police said in a statement that they arrested two 16-year-old boys and three 13-year-old girls on Wednesday morning. They are each facing charges of communicating a false alarm, a class D felony.

Currently, the two boys are being held without bail, while the three girls are each jailed with a bail of 2,500 U.S. dollars at the juvenile detention center of Garland County in which Hot Springs is located.
