BEIJING, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday underscored the importance of better basic education ahead of the country's Teachers' Day, which falls on September 10.
Xi made the remarks while inspecting the Beijing Bayi School and took the chance to congratulate teachers nationwide and express his sincere greetings.
