KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Seven warders of a Malaysian prison have been sent to special programs to be deradicalized after they were looking watching some terror suspects linked to the Islamic State and were influenced by their ideology, reported the Star on Friday.

The paper quoted Malaysian deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi as saying that that's why "all detained militants were now being segregated from regular prisoners."

Zahid added that psychologists and Muslim scholars would be invited to help authorities curb the spread of terror ideology.

Urging the public to remain vigilant at all times, Zahid said "it is no longer of question of if, but when a terror attack will happen."

Malaysia has been on high alert since last month, when the country suffered the first attack linked to the Islamic State, in which a blast at a bar near Kuala Lumpur injured eight people.
