TOKYO, July 8 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 100 yen zone in early deals on Friday morning in Tokyo, largely in line with levels seen overnight in New York.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 100.76-78 yen compared with 100.65-75 yen in New York and 101.02-03 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1064 dollars and 111.49-52 yen against 1.1059-1069 dollars and 111.40-50 yen in New York and dollars 1.1062-1064 and 111.75-79 yen on Thursday afternoon in late trade in Tokyo.
