JAKARTA, June 29 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian government on Wednesday condemned the bombings in Istanbul, Turkey, that killed 36 and injured many others on Tuesday night.
"The government and people of Indonesia convey our deepest sympathy and condolences to the Turkish people and government, particularly the families of those fallen in the attack," a statement from the foreign affairs minister read in Jakarta.
President Joko Widodo took to Twitter to express his condolence, saying that "humanity has been torn apart once again" over the suicide terror blasts, and "the world is united against terrorism."
The ministry added they have not received any report confirming that Indonesians fell victim to the series of bomb attacks that took place at the international terminals of the Ataturk Airport.
The ministry has called on all Indonesian nationals in Turkey to remain vigilant.
