贾秀东，中国国际问题研究所特聘研究员。
1983年至1990年就读于北京外国语大学，学习英语、俄语及美国研究专业，先后获英语语言文学学士学位、美国研究硕士学位。1990年进入外交部工作，历任外交部翻译室随员（1990年-1993年），驻俄罗斯使馆三秘、交际处负责人（1993年-1997年），外交部美大司综合调研处二秘及美国处副处长、处长（1997年-2004年），驻美国使馆政务参赞、政治处负责人（2005年-2010年）。曾于1998年在美国乔治敦大学外交学院外交研究所做访问学者，2000年在美军太平洋总部亚太安全研究中心进修。主要译著包括：《美国神话 美国现实》（中国社会科学出版社出版）、《美国研究手册》（中国社会科学出版社出版）等。
主要研究领域：国际战略、中美关系、美国内政外交、大国关系、亚太安全、公共外交。
Résumé
Mr. Jia Xiudong is a Senior Research Fellow in Residence at China Institute of International Studies.
He joined the Chinese Foreign Ministry in 1990 and served a few tours of duty in Beijing, Moscow, and Washington, D.C. from 1990 to 2010, including responsibilities as Attaché in the Department of Interpretation and Translation of the Ministry, Third Secretary in the Chinese Embassy in Russia, Deputy Director and then Director for U.S. Affairs at the Ministry, Counselor for Political Affairs and Chief of the Political Section of the Chinese Embassy in the U.S.
In addition to his Foreign Service postings, he was detailed as a Research Associate to the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy, School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University in 1998， and a Fellow at the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, the U.S. Pacific Command in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2000.
He is a graduate of Beijing Foreign Studies University where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Language and Literature in 1987 and a Master of Arts Degree in American Studies in 1990. He speaks English and has studied Russian.
His interests in international studies include Global Strategy, China-U.S. Relations, U.S. Foreign Policy, Asia-Pacific Security, and Public Diplomacy.
