China Armed Forces No.25,Vol.1,2014
63/63-1 130-mm rocket launcher
The powerful 63 130-mm rocket launcher was one of the first used by China’s army. It was finalized in 1963. It has 19 130-mm launch tubes. The maximum range is 10 kilometers. It is fitted to an NJ230 cross-country vehicle, which can run up to 50 kilometers per hour.
The 63-1 130-mm rocket launcher is a remodeled version of the 63. The biggest change was the carrier. The six-wheel EQ 240 replaced the previous four-wheel vehicle, improving mobility. The bigger vehicle included a magazine in front of the launch tubes, increasing firepower.
