Coleman was born in Zimbabwe in 1963, she is a freelance documentary photographer now living and working in South Africa. Photography became her companion; she used herself as subject and documented her life, the high as well as the lowest moments.Three years ago Coleman relocated to a farm in the Klein Karoo; it is here where she started her seminal series, The People of the Klein Karoo. In 2013 Coleman published the series in book form, using the same title.

Coleman’s documentary about the People from Klein Karoo shows a three-years long work, which captures authentic scenes of people and reflects the photographer’s relationship to the area. Her series People from Klein Karoo recaps natural situations and daily emotions. The photographer often seems not be noticed by the models. The series has a great variety of portraits and presents beautiful close-ups.

Brent Meistre is a photographer based in Grahamstown, South Africa. He works mainly with traditional photographic processes (including hand colour printing) incorporated into bodies of work which also feature video, stop-frame animation and sound installations. In this context he uses the photographic and filmic to unravel and complicate the notion of the photograph being a document of historical fact, contra the medium's possibilities for suggesting the unsaid.

Sojourn is a photographic series of landscape images taken over a period of six years across Southern Africa. Much of his work investigates the possibilities of single and multiple images as cinematic and thereby plays with the veiling of meanings and narratives. The photographs in this collection are about that skin, a flat expanse of a body that recedes into the hinterland and more importantly into the interior.His works are often positioned within particular timeframes and frameworks within Southern Africa evoking melancholia, loss and longing.
