Elderly Hong Kong Chinese miners rest inside their hut at Ma On Shan iron mine in the New Territories, Hong Kong, in 1985. Hundreds of miners fled mainland China to Hong Kong in 1949 after the Communist Party victory in the civil war. They lived a destitute life.
