ISLAMABAD, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- At least two people were killed and eight others including two security personnel injured when a violence broke out Sunday night in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi, reported local media Geo.

According to the report, the violence broke out when a group of people protesting over the arrest of some 16 unidentified people in the Chowrangi area of the city.

The angry protesters set on fire 35 motorcycles, five cars and one rickshaw.

The police and the paramilitary troops Rangers are unable to control the situation, said local media.
