Myanmar mostly imports Chinese and Japanese joint-venture cars and automobile spare parts for use in the country.
Currently, Myanmar is planning to produce HiAce as well as LiteAce automobile cars of one to two and a half tons with 80 percent of the engine and spare parts being imported.

Japan took up one third of Myanmar's garment export standing as Myanmar's largest garment exporting country, followed by Britain, Germany and Spain.

Myanmar's industrial sector contributes about 20 percent to the gross domestic product and private sector's contribution to the industrial sector stood 92.36 percent, statistics show.
