SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- A huge blast occurred in a neighborhood near San Francisco's airport Thursday night, and at least half a dozen homes were on fire, local press reported.
The explosion went off shortly after 6 p.m. local time, sending up a massive fireball and a white and black plume of smoke that is visible for several kilometers. Authorities were evacuating local residents.
