The NBF plans to promote bridge playing in Norway in two different ways -- the first is sport and the other is "bridge for everyone".

In "bridge for everyone," the focus is placed on the social aspect of bridge as it is important to focus on the social aspect to attract young people, Aasen said.

Arranging recruitment camps and bridge trips, starting a junior fund and getting bridge into the school are also part of the NBF's promotion plan.

Online playing is another option and people can play with others anytime they want. "This is a factor that for sure will attract more young people," said Handal.

An internet-based BBO service is provided during the on-going bridge festival in Lillehammer.
