KABUL, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Three soldiers of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in two separate roadside bombings in Afghanistan on Thursday, a press release of the military alliance said Friday.
"An ISAF servicemember died following an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in southern Afghanistan yesterday," the press release said.
"In a separate incident two ISAF servicemembers died following and IED attack in southern Afghanistan yesterday," it added.
However, it did not disclose the nationalities of the victims, saying it is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.
Troops from the United States, Britain, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands have been serving in Afghanistan's southern region.
The two incidents brought the number of the alliance casualties to more than 80 since the beginning of July, with more than 400 NATO-led soldiers killed in the militancy-plagued Afghanistan since the beginning of this year, according to iCasualties -- a website tracking foreign forces casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq.
