ISLAMABAD, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari said on Thursday that inquiry report of the air crash which killed 152 people will be made public, Presidential spokesman said.
"The report of the inquiry committee should be made public so that the people know as to what really led to the tragic incident, " the president said in a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yusaf Raza Gilani, spokesman Farhatullah Babar said.
Briefing the media about the meeting the spokesperson said that the tragic air crash atop Margalla hills and current situation in the country were discussed during the meeting.
The prime minister briefed the president about the constitution of an inquiry committee to probe into the incident and the search and rescue measures being undertaken by various organizations of the government.
The president urged for early completion of the probe to ascertain the real causes of the incident that resulted in heavy loss of precious human lives, the spokesman said.
The president said that the entire nation is in a state of mourning over the sad demise of all 152 people on board, including five children, two infants among them, and 29 women.
On Wednesday, the day of the tragedy, special prayers were offered at the meetings in the Presidency of participants of the interfaith conference with Zardari. Widespread condolence messages are pouring in from world leaders.
