BISHKEK, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz Interior Minister Moldomusa Kongantiyev has been taken hostage by opposition protesters in the northern city of Talas, Kyrgyz media reported Wednesday.
Kongantiyev was held hostage inside the building of the city's interior department after it had been seized by the protesters, the report said.
The Kyrgyz interior ministry declined to make any comment on the report.
