BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Al-Qaida's American-born spokesman on Sunday called on Muslims serving in the U.S. armed forces to emulate Nidal Hasan who was charged with killing 13 people, the Associated Press reported on Sunday. In a 25-minute video posted on militant Web sites, Adam Gadahn described Hasan as a pioneer who should serve as a role model for other Muslims.

U.S. military not prepared for internal security threat: Gates

WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- U.S. military is not well prepared for internal security threat, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said on Friday when briefing on a review of the Fort Hood shootings.

"It is clear that as a department, we have not done enough to adapt to the evolving domestic internal security threat to American troops and military facilities that has emerged over the past decade," said the secretary.  Full story
