Another red-shirts leader Veera Musikhapong on Sunday noon issued a 24 hour ultimatum to the government to call a general election or face the mass protests.
The red-shirts movement is staging a mass rally to topple the Abhisit administration, and tens of thousands of supporters from across the country had swarmed to the capital city since Friday. The main rally site is at the Pan Fah Bridge, which is located on Ratchadamnoen Road at downtown Bangkok.

BANGKOK, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's anti-government protesters on Sunday officially announced an ultimatum of a House dissolution within 24 hours.
The announcement was made by anti-government United front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) core leader Veera Musikapong at about 12:00 p.m. local time, at the main rally site in capital Bangkok. Full story
