BANGKOK, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's anti-government group red-shirts announced Sunday that the protesters will step up the pressure on the government and move to rally outside the 11th Infantry Regiment where a key security command is located, if the prime minister does not dissolve the House by 9 a.m. Monday.
At a press conference held on 5:00 p.m., Natthawut Saikua, a red-shirts leader, made the statement as an effort to push the government to bend to their demand -- dissolving the parliament and calling a fresh general election.
The protesters would travel on Larn Luang Road, passing the Victory Monument to Phaholyothin to the 11th Infantry Regiment, where the Peace-keeping Operation Command is located and the Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has been using as a safe house, Natthawut said. They will stay there until midday.
But Natthawut said the protesters would not remain at the regiment because the Pan Fah Bridge, downtown Bangkok, would be used as their command center.
He said they would hound the prime minister no matter where he may go.
