BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhuanet) -- Japanese Emperor Akihito has inaugurated new ministers for Yoshi-hiko Noda's government in a ceremony this morning.
Koi-chio Gem-ba has been appointed Foreign Minister. Moto-hisa Furu-kawa will take over economics, and former parliamentary affairs chief Jun Azumi will head finance. Yasuo Ichi-kawa is the new Defense Minister, and Yoshio Ha-chiro, the Trade Minister.
Noda's new government will face numerous challenges. They include a new energy policy, rebuilding the tsunami-ravaged northeast and its funding, mounting social welfare costs in an aging society, and uniting the ruling Democratic Party.
