BEIJING, Feb. 20 (Xinhuanet) -- Apple has recently been in the spotlight NOT because of its high-tech achievements, but for health issues reported by workers who manufacture the company's products. A 2010 report released by the company indicates that the use of a toxic cleaning agent, called n-hexane, affected the health of 137 Chinese workers at the factory run by the Wintek Corporation. Most of the employees have returned to work. Some of the affected workers still suffer from health problems.
For those affected employees at the factory in Suzhou that supplies Apple with touch-screens, their nightmare is far from over after they received the medical treatment provided by the company.
Among these, some have suffered relapses of cramping and excessive sweating.
To make matters worse, the number of sufferers is still increasing.
Mr Guo is one of them.
Workers say the reason for their relapse is that most of them hadn't fully recovered when they were discharged from the hospital.
On the hospital discharge certificate, doctors described the condition of each patient as "improving" but not "recovered."
