BEIJING, Sept. 1 (Xinhuanet) -- The center of this year's eighth tropical storm--Namtheun--has made landfall in south-east China's Fujian province.
Initial rain, brought by the storm, was not very heavy when the storm landed on the coast of Hui'an county. But, as the storm moves inland, it is becoming heavier and the wind is gaining strength. Border defense forces have worked overnight, to fasten ropes and check anchors of boats taking shelter in harbors. The storm is expected to move south west at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour and its intensity will die down.
