BEIJING, June 29 (Xinhuanet) -- A concert joined by musicians of the senior generation of China has brought back the sweet childhood memories of its audience in Shanghai.
Entitled "Songs for Children from Moms and Dads," the concert was staged at the Cultural Center of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo on Sunday night.
Taking the stage in turn were a number of artists including Li Guyi, Li Guangxi, and Dedema. They treated audiences with a string of hits of the good old days during the 1970s and 80s, such as "The Toast Song," "My Country and I," and "Songs and Smiles."
Apart from the popular tunes of the past, the night also featured emerging singers of the younger generation like Tan Jing, who interpreted a few classic numbers adding a modern twist.
Some audience members said they felt like they were brought back to their innocent days when they were young.
