BEIJING, June 3 -- The US Commerce Department has decided to set final anti-dumping duties and countervailing duties on imports of steel gratings from China.

Anti-dumping duties between 137 and 145 percent will be imposed to offset what the US considers below-market pricing. The US has also ruled that Chinese producers of steel gratings have received net countervailing subsidies of over 60 percent.

The US International Trade Commission will also make its final injury determination in July. China's Ministry of Commerce calls the moves protectionist.

It warns of possible damage to trade relations by escalating trade disputes and hurting the industries involved.
