Emblem and mascot of 14th FINA World Championships

The emblem is formed by the English letter "S", whichrepresents Shanghai, and the number 2011. It looks like a swimmer, with theglobe-shaped swimming cap, striving forward in the waves. The design means thatthe 14th FINA World Championships will be held in Shanghai.

The mascot is represented by personified swimming goggles. The goggleslook like a swimmer jumping for victory or look like Shanghai people openingboth arms to welcome the FINA World Championships. The mascot is named"Jing Jing" (euphony of the Chinese pronunciation of goggles). It isalso the euphony of the Chinese pronunciation of the words "forward" and"gold". It makes you think of the swimmers forging ahead in theswimming pool to capture the gold medals. The beautiful emblem and lovelymascot will not only be the specific logos of the Championships, but will alsobe used in promotion and marketing of the Championships.
