CAIRO,July 23 (Xinhua) -- Egypt's Aya Medany won the women's title in the African pentathlon championship in Alexandria, which qualified herself for the London Olympics, state media reported on Saturday.
Her compatriot Yasser Hanafi snatched the gold in the men's competition, also making it to the Olympics.
Medany had participated in 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
