MADRID, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Spanish La Liga champions FC Barcelona kicked off its round of pre-season preparation games with a 4-2 win against Norwegian side Valerenga IF in Oslo.

Still without his Spain international players, Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola started the game with a side made up of mainly of members of the club's B-team, who have been training with the first team in pre-season.

The Barca coach put his faith in the youngsters and put out a team with only three first team players (Pinto, Maxwell and Bojan) in his starting 11.

The reigning Spanish league champions opened the scoring after 13 minutes when Victor Sanchez scored following a pass from Jonathan Soriano and although the Norwegian team levelled from the penalty spot, Barca regained the lead thanks to Maxwell.

The full back received the ball on the edge of the area and fired home a low shot.

Barcelona was moving the ball around almost as if the entire first team was available and six minutes into the second half, Benja made it 3-1 after some poor work in the Valerenada defense.

New signing Adriano was able to make his Barcelona debut, but it was Seydou Keita who scored Barca's last goal of the night with a quarter of an hour left to play.

Zajic scored a late consolation goal for the Norwegians, but that could not take the sheer off a very promising performance for the Barcelona future.
