BERLIN, July 28 (Xinhua) -- DPR Korean striker Jong Tae-se made an impressive German league debut at VFL Bochum on Wednesday with a goal in an exhibition match against MSV Duisburg.

The 26-year-old Jong signed a two-year contract with the second division Bochum earlier July.

Jong scored his first goal with the new team by a penalty kick in the friendly match.

"I experienced the level of Germany's second-division league at today's match, and I felt confident that I can play well here," Jong said. The teams tied at 1-1.

"My goal is to lift the team to the first division. If I score many goals, the team will get a berth to the first league," Jong said.
