HANOI, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam launched here Wednesday a contest with the theme of "Community's initiatives against AIDS".
The contest, jointly held by the Ministry of Health and the World Bank office in Vietnam, aims to find out creative ideas to contain the spread of HIV in the community and reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS on Vietnam's socio-economic development.
The contest focuses on communication to raise people's awareness of the disease, intervention to reduce the HIV/AIDS infections, prevention against mother-to-child transmission of HIV/ AIDS, and support and treatment for people infected with HIV/AIDS.
According to the organizer, projects which win the awards of the contest will be financed to be implemented.
