    German ace Michael Schumacher is recognized as the world's best racing driver at present. He became the youngest double Formula 1 World Champion (1994 and 1995 seasons) in 1995 and was also the World Champion from 2000 to 2004.

    The 2004 championship was secured by Michael before its conclusion, making it title number 7. He did it by finishing 2nd at Spa in Belgium, in Ferrari's 700th race, to accumulate enough points to seal the deal.

    In Oct. 2006, the seven-time world champion announced his retirement from Formula One at the end of the seasonafter winning the Italian Grand Prix. The Ferrari star's victory was the 90th in a career in which Schumacher has broken almost every F1 record.

    But Michael announced that he will return to F1 to race for the Mercedes GP Petronas team in 2010, having signed a three-year contract with them. The move will see Michael reunited with Ross Brawn, who he worked with to win all of his world titles.
