SHANGHAI, March 25 (Xinhua) -- General Motors (GM) on Wednesday showcased in Shanghai a new electric concept car designed to be non-polluting and help ease traffic jam.
The Electric Networked-Vehicle (EN-V) is a two-seat vehicle powered by electric motors. It can go about 40 km on a single charge.
GM will showcase the EN-V at a pavilion with its China joint venture partner--Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation Group during the World Expo to be held in Shanghai from May 1 through October 31.
Kevin E Wale, President and Managing Director of the GM China Group, said the EN-V provides an ideal solution for urban mobility that enables future driving to be free from petroleum and emissions.
