BOGOTA, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Five senior executives of Italian-Argentine company Sicim are wanted by the Colombian authorities which are probing whether the company paid bribes to the National Liberation Army (ELN), the country's second largest guerrilla group, local media reported.

The public prosecution office has issued arrest warrants against Jorge Roberto Rigono, Francisco Elizondo, and other three executives of Sicim, which is commissioned by Colombia's state-run oil company Ecopetro to build a pipeline between the departments of Arauca and Casanare (east), the RCN Radio network said on Thursday.

An Interpol red notice might also be issued since one of the executives left Colombia.

According to the prosecution office, the executives paid big amounts of

money to the ELN to ensure safety for the exploration and transportation of oil.

On the other hand, Ecopetrol fired on Thursday its director of

transportation, Roberto Espriella, after it was proven that he received bribes from Sicim's executive Francisco Elizondo.
