KATHMANDU, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chief of Nepal's anti-corruption body said on Tuesday that more than 1,000 high-profile politicians and civil servants are under scrutiny for corruption.
Addressing a program organized to mark the establishment of the anti-corruption day in Kathmandu, Chief of Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Lokman Singh Karki said some high-profile people are under investigation.
He said increasing corruption in all sectors is tarnishing the image of the country.
CIAA is a national anti-corruption body in Nepal.
