HONGKONG, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted 74km SW of Ile Hunter, New Caledonia at 18:04:21 Beijing Time (10:04:21 GMT) on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 22.7746 degrees south latitude and 171.4453 degrees east longitude.
