HO CHI MINH CITY, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Vietnam International Retail and Franchise Show 2014 kicked off here on Thursday, attracting over 170 domestic and foreign firms, according to organizers.
Exhibitors displayed latest products and equipment in 250 stalls, including world famous brands such as Subway, New Zealand Natural Premium Ice Cream, Tous Les Jours and Gloria's Jean.
In particular, booths exhibiting prestigious brands and products from the United States, Italy, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Vietnam provide business opportunities and up- to-date market information for investors and enterprises interested in the field.
Sideline events during the three-day expo include workshops to introduce the development trends in the retail and franchise market in Vietnam and other foreign countries.
The annual event is organized by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, KITA-owned COEX and Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising Company, with a view to creating opportunities for retail and franchise businesses to find partners and develop the market.
