ISLAMABAD, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- At least five people were killed and seven others injured when a suicide bomber hit a meeting of tribal elders in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Khyber Agency, local media reported.
Express TV said that a meeting of pro-government peace militiamen was going on in Tirah Valley area of Khyber Agency when the suicide bomber blew up himself in the middle of it.
Identities of the killed and injured people have not been determined yet, but some local media reports said that Zalakhel peace committee members came under attack.
The injured people have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
Located at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Khyber agency is a restive tribal area which is believed to be a stronghold of Al- Qaida militants.
