HONG KONG, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted 49km E of Ichinohe, Japan at 01:09:37 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 75.44 km, was initially determined to be at 40.1215 degrees north latitude and 141.8691 degrees east longitude.
