KAMPONG SPEU, Cambodia, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Tea Banh said Friday that "human error" had been blamed for a military helicopter crash last month.
"We have already completed an investigation into the case and the chopper's black box has been checked already," he told reporters after overseeing a military exercise.
He said, "I just confirmed that there was no any problem with the helicopter, its engine was working well before the crash."
"The crash happened because the pilot could not command the helicopter according to his desire, so human error caused the accident," the defense minister added.
A Chinese-built Z-9 military helicopter crashed into a water- filled quarry on the outskirts of Phnom Penh City on July 14 during a training mission, killing two air force generals and two pilots.
